Lava Lizards are enemies that appear in Skelos Badlands, in the game Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. They are part of an orb challenge where the lizards will hatch from eggs and and try to eat the Cavemen and Spyro must kill them before they do. They can be killed via fire breath. On the start screen, one appears chasing a caveman before banging into the sign saying Spyro 2 and being knocked out.They also appear in Spyro: A Hero's Tail whoever had been brought to the Dark Mine.
