Dressed like cupids, they attack with a bow (though they aim it like a crossbow), shooting arrows to [[Spyro]]. Sometimes they can be quite a nuisance depending on where they are standing. That nuisance can be when they can see you up a higher spot, but you can not see them. However, you will be alerted if they are going to snipe you, because you should be able to hear them scream "eww-wuh-ew!"(you will also hear a harp strum as they scream)

They can easily be defeated by any attack of choice. Spyro can also use Wing Shield to repel any arrows and defeat the archers with their own arrows.
They are one of the least threatening of the Riptocs. When first encountered, they produce a loud "Ooooh!" along with a harp sound effect which can be heard from a distance. Their arrow attack takes a long time to fire, which can be repelled and deflected with [[Wing Shield]].


Fun fact: when you freeze them, and stand right next to them until they unfreeze, it takes them a brief moment of time for them to recognize you, not until they look right at you with a disturbing smile. As soon as they recognize you again, they do their usual jump up and scream with big mouth and bulging eyes, as if almost in terror. When they reach for the bows in their back sack, only to find out they run out of bows, they scream at you again, and somehow get more bows from screaming at you.
They are not immune to any of Spyro's attacks.
 
Upon killing them, you should hear a "a-loo-uh-la-eww!" as they fall and land on their backs dramatically.

Template:Characterbox Archer Riptocs are a type of Riptoc that are encountered at Cloud 9 along with the Angel Riptocs.

They are one of the least threatening of the Riptocs. When first encountered, they produce a loud "Ooooh!" along with a harp sound effect which can be heard from a distance. Their arrow attack takes a long time to fire, which can be repelled and deflected with Wing Shield.

They are not immune to any of Spyro's attacks.
