They are opened by finding two red switches in a level within a period of time. In the [[Theives' Guild]], the buttons needed to open the vault are being carried by [[theives]] and have to be obtained very quickly. The music for the Vaults is the same as the music for [[Moneybags' Mansion]], a level found in the same game.
