Superflame is a powerup in the original Spyro series, first appearing in the second game (although another superflame power appeared in the first game). It upgrades Spyro's flame breath into fire balls, which Spyro can shoot at enemies and other targets from a long range. The fire balls are more effective than any of Spyro's standard attacks, and are capable of breaking open metal crates. Superflame even works underwater. In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, Spyro unlocks a permanent Superflame in Dragon Shores upon 100% completion.
