Puffing Platypuses are aquatic enemies seen in Mystic Marsh, in the game Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. They can change from an inoffensive platypus to a big spiked creature.
The only way to defeat them is to charge them, because they are only found underwater. They can only be defeated when they aren't inflated, otherwise they will always hurt Spyro. They are obstacles in a certain underwater cave in the level, to test the player's patience.
Normally, Spyro fauna is a mixture of animals. However, when deflated, these animals look like a stereotypical platypus, only gray.
