Template:Characterbox Fauns first appeared in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. The main character Elora is a Faun, and there are also many female Fauns in Fracture Hills and many male fauns in Magma Cone. Fauns seem to love parties, much to the annoyance of the Earthshapers. The Female Fauns in Fracture Hills seem to have the attitude and lingo of modern teenage girls, and each one has a yo-yo.
In Roman mythology, Faun's were said to have the body and head of a human, and the hips, legs and hooves of a goat. They are often confused with Satyrs, however Satyrs come from Greek mythology, and have the feet of a human rather than the hooves of a goat.
Trivia
- Two male fauns died during the events of Magma Cone. One was crushed by a molten rock prior to Spyro's trip to the realm, while the other was accidently killed during an attempted high-five. Both deaths were shown in cutscenes.
