Dragon Breaths
The ability to breath other elements than fire has been a part of the gameplay since Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly.
In The Legend of Spyro trilogy
The breaths dragons normally has, depends on the color of scales. They can only breath one element such as Fire, Electricity, Ice, or Earth. Purple dragons, being a rare species, can breath all four elements. Cynder is also an exception because Malefor gave Cynder unique breaths such as Poison, Wind, Shadow and Fear.
