Template:Characterbox Elite Enemies are optional adversaries that are stronger than the normal enemies in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. They wear special helmets that give them their extra strength. While wearing the helmet, Elite Enemies can only be hit by the dragon breath of the same color the helmet wields. The helmet will eventually fall off, making the enemy subjectable to all melee and breath attacks.

There are a total of eight elite enemies in the game. They usually come after big battles and also award 10,000 XP for you. The Elite Enemies also usually have something special after you kill them like a life, mana crystal, or a blue Spirit Gem cluster.
