Activision Blizzard, also known as Activision, is a video game company situated in Santa Monica, California. They are the current license holders of Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Skylanders, Call of Duty, etc.

Activision Blizzard was the result of the merger between Sierra Entertainment, Vivendi Games and Activision in 2008, giving them ownership of the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot licenses.[1]

On January 18, 2022, Microsoft annonunced they entered an acquisition deal with Activision that will allow them to gain ownership over the company as well as the game licenses they own for $68.7 billion.[2] After a year of delays, the acquisition was completed on October 13, 2023.[3][4]
