Flying Gecko

Template:Characterbox Flying Geckos are blue, spherical creatures with large purple wings and rows of sharp teeth. They can "curl" up into a ball and remain stationary on the ground, but when approached, they will uncurl and begin to use blasts of fire to defeat Spyro. To defeat them, Spyro must pick up one of the molten rocks and launch it at them while they are airborne. These monsters are found in Enchanted Towers.

Trivia

Flying Geckos bare a strong resemblance to an extinct species called Nervous Tickus that makes a single appearance in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! in the epilogue section entitled "Basil the Explorer's 'Faunas Mortas' Extinct Creatures of Avalar." Both Flying Geckos and Nervous Tickus have green bodies, purple wings, large teeth, protruding purple eyes, and green floating eyebrows. The design of Nervous Tickus was used to create the design of the flying gecko enemies used in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
