The Guidebook is a recurring object in the Spyro franchise. It was first introduced in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! where Elora gives Spyro said book to help him better understand Avalar and its worlds. The Guidebook is where Spyro can check his progress to see the total number of collectible items in each Home World and realm and how much he has collected. The collectibles shown in the Guidebook depends on the game, although Gems are one of them in every game.
