Zoe is a fairy who is a recurring character in the Spyro franchise. In most of her appearances, she is one of Spyro's main allies, and her role is to save his progress whenever he encounters her. When Spyro encounters Zoe, she zaps him with her wand, causing the game to autosave.

Story[edit]

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage![edit]

Before Spyro's unplanned trip to Avalar, Zoe, Elora, Hunter and the Professor accidentally brought in Ripto, Crush and Gulp into the realm. Elora quickly instructed Zoe to get other fairies to scatter the Orbs around each realm to prevent Ripto from moving in. Ripto grabbed the orb held by Zoe, threatening her as she carried him away.

After Spyro and Sparx arrived in Glimmer, Ripto interfered again, and Zoe distracted Ripto by zapping him with her wand. Enraged, Ripto ordered Crush to kill Zoe, but she flew up to dodge Crush's club, which instead hit Ripto.

Later, Zoe was captured by Ripto, but Spyro arrived on time to rescue Zoe from being eaten by Gulp.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon[edit]

After Bianca and the Rhynocs stole all of the Dragon Eggs from the Dragon Realms, Zoe went down the hole to the Forgotten Realm to investigate along with a few of her friends (who are only mentioned but never seen). Zoe watch as Bianca presented a Dragon Egg to the Sorceress before returning to the Dragon Worlds. She informed a Dragon Elder about where the Dragon Eggs were taken to. Like in Ripto's Rage!, Zoe provides advice to Spyro and saves his progress.

In the original epilogue, Zoe and Princess Ami are competing against each other for Sparx's affections.

Spyro: Season of Ice[edit]

While Zoe reappears in Spyro: Season of Ice, she does not autosave the game, as this only occurs whenever Spyro enters or leaves an area.

In the intro, as Spyro is relaxing on the beach with Hunter and Bianca, he receives a message from Zoe. She used the last of her magic to write a letter to Spyro informing him that Grendor has cast a spell to imprison every fairy in crystals. At Grendor's Lair, Zoe was held hostage by Grendor as he tried to figure out how to remove his extra head.

Zoe is the last fairy whom Spyro rescues. After rescuing the other 99 fairies, Spyro enters Grendor's Lair for a final battle. He manages to defeat Grendor, who then feels remorseful for his actions. Zoe returns Grendor to his normal self, and Zoe thanks Spyro for rescuing her.

Spyro 2: Season of Flame[edit]

In Spyro 2: Season of Flame, Zoe has a small role in the story, although she retains her role of autosaving Spyro's progress in the realms.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly[edit]

Zoe returns in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, although her only role is to save Spyro's progress along the way.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail[edit]

In Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Zoe wears green clothes instead of yellow. She retains her role of saving Spyro's progress, although Trina provides information to Spyro instead. Unlike the PlayStation games, Zoe has only one line, in which she says that her zaps can destroy millions of brain cells.

Trivia[edit]

Zoe's message if an illegal or hacked copy of the game is detected
  • Spyro: Year of the Dragon has a built-in anti-piracy measure in which if Spyro talks to Zoe at a balloon after completing a few realms, she informs Spyro that he is using a pirated copy of the game.
  • Zoe has a few unused lines in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, implying that she would have originally had larger role in the game.
