The Ancient Grove

"There is an Ancient Grove within the forest at the end of the Silver River. It is a secret place untouched by civilization. The waters there are poisonous, as well as the creatures who are nutured by it...but you shouldn't encounter any real danger. Trust your instincts." - Ignitus, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.

The Ancient Grove is a dark, foreboding grove somewhere on the edge of the Silver River, and only appears in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. It was the home of Arborick, as well as other creatures living there.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night

Spyro had been assigned to go to the Ancient Grove to seek out the tree that he saw in his dream with the Chronicler. While searching, he was summoned into a dream by the Chronicler again to regain his Ice abilities and showed Spyro a vision of a terrible king-like Ape, leading an huge army of Apes going to the Mountain of Malefor, shouting, "...The Well of Souls!", another name of the mountain. After Spyro woke up, he eventually found the great tree, but it later turned out to be a monster called Arborick, and Spyro defeated it. After that, a group of Pirates, led by a captain named Skabb, wanted Arborick for "entertainment" in a fighting arena, but that changed when the Pirates decided to replace Arborick with Spyro, knocking him unconscious and taking him and Sparx aboard the flying ship of Fellmuth Arena.
