Template:Characterbox Template:Q The Shadow Apes are what remains of the Apes who served Malefor, only appearing in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon.
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
The Shadow Apes are first encountered at the Hermit's cave near the Valley of Avalar, where they ambushed Spyro and Cynder. After they are defeated, the Hermit explains to the young dragons that the creatures they defeated were, in fact, the Apes they faced three years ago, who have been turned into ghostly skeletons for serving Malefor more for their greed instead of true loyalty to him. They are later encountered in the Ruins of Warfang, where they dwell and lurk within holes of the ruins.
