Template:Characterbox (Skylanders) The Sidekicks are miniature versions of Skylanders who appear in the Skylanders series, obtained only in promotions of Frito-Lay. When activated, they follow the Skylanders around.

History

Within the Skylands, a realm of infinite possibilities, there is in fact an alternate reality known as the Skylands Miniverse. Everything there is smaller, including the Skylanders. The Skylanders Sidekicks come from that Miniverse and have traveled to the Skylands to meet their regular-sized alter egos and tag along with them on adventures. [1]

Trivia

  • In the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, the background for each Sidekick is the same as adding a Magic Skylander, or Magic Item onto the Portal of Power. However, in Skylanders: Giants, the backgrounds become much different based on their specific elements in every version.
  • In Skylanders: Giants, when you put them on the portal, they'll appear and say their Skylander counterparts' catchphrases in a chipmunk voice.
  • Currently, both Air and Fire elements have no sidekicks.
  • Both Water and Life elements each have two sidekicks.
  • Mini Jini and Whisper Elf are currently the only female sidekicks.
  • Barkley is the the only Sidekick to not have their name be a pun on their Skylander's name.
  • Despite the fact that all Sidekicks can do is follow Skylanders around, it is shown that they could also block out enemy projectile attacks without taking damage themselves.
  • In Lost Islands, the Sidekicks can take out the Chompy Pods.
