Template:Characterbox (Skylanders) Template:Q Prism Break is a crystal golem who is one of the main 32 playable Skylanders in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
Background
Personality
Prism Break used to be a frightening rock golem who didn't like to be bothered. After being buried underground for 100 years in a cave-in, he gains a change of heart when a Mabu mining expedition freed him and Prism Break dedicated himself in protecting the Mabu tribe and Skylands.
Biography
Prism Break was once a fearsome rock golem who didn't like to be disturbed. Then, an accidental cave-in left him buried underground. One hundred years later, a mining expedition digging for valuable jewels discovered him by chance with a well-placed blow from a pick axe -- something Prism Break doesn't talk about. After 100 years of solitude, he found that the pressure of the earth had transformed him emotionally as well as physically, turning his crude rocky arms into incredible gems with powerful energy. Grateful for being free of his earthly prison, Prism Break decided to put his new abilities to good use, and from that day forward, he dedicated himself to protecting the Mabu and Skylands alongside the other Skylanders.
Story
Skylanders: The Beginning
Prism Break was one of the Skylanders who participated in the battle against Kaos and his army and was seen charging into battle when Spyro flies into the scene breathing fire. However, they were soon overpowered, allowing Kaos to destroy the Core of Light and banishing the Skylanders to Earth where they were turned into toys.
Abilities
Prism Break has the ability to shoot beams of energy at his enemies using his gem-like limbs, and also summon crystals to erupt from the ground under his opponents to finish them off.
He's the only one of the Skylanders who can destroy crystal formations without bombs.

Trivia
- Prism Break's name refers to the breaking effect prisms have on light beams. Coincidentally (and probably intentionally), his name is a pun on the phrase "Prison Break."
- His gem color changes according to the Upgrade Path he chooses.
- Prism Break is confirmed to be one of the characters getting a Light Up version for Skylanders: Giants
- Prism Break shares similarities with not one, but two characters from the Ben 10 series, Diamondhead and Chromastone respectively, as all three have a crystaline structure and posess the ability to either fire or refract laser beams.
