Spyro: Year of the Dragon

Here is a list of cheat codes for Spyro: Year of the Dragon. To enter a code press start to pause game play, then press buttons. If you have entered cheat correctly, a sound will confirm that. Most codes can be reversed by entering the code again.

List of cheat codes

Crash Bash Demo

• At the title screen: Hold L1+R2 and press Square

99 Lives

• R2, L2, R2, L2, Up, Up, Up, Up, Circle

Voice Dialogue

• Square(2), Circle(2), Square(2), Circle(2). (warning: Can be annoying, and will annoy anyone with you!) To turn this off: Repeat the code and then proceed to another level.

Color Codes

All color codes have the prefix code Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, followed by the desired color:

• Black Spyro: Down
• Blue Spyro: X (causes you to exit level) This can be avoided by highlighting "Exit Level or Quit Game".
• Green Spyro: Triangle
• Pink Spyro: Square
• Red Spyro: Circle
• Yellow Spyro: Up
• Normal Spyro: Left

Big head Spyro

• Up, R1, Up, R1, Up, R1, Circle(4)

2D Spyro

• Left, Right, Left, Right, L1, R1, L1, R1, Square, Circle

Additional hit points

• Circle, R1, Circle, L1, Circle, R2, Circle, L2, Circle

Sparx finds treasure

• Right(2), Left(2), Right(2), Left(2), Circle(3)

Hard difficulty

These only work after the game has been beaten.

• ANY teleportation "cheats" that have triangle in them DO NOT work. Triangle exits the pause menu so it stops you finishing inputting the cheat
