Template:Characterbox Basil, also known as Basil the Explorer, is a human character seen in Mystic Marsh in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. He'll give you an orb once you have collected four spark plugs for his jeep, which were stolen by Kangaroo Thieves.
Trivia
- Basil is one of the few characters in the entire Classic series who is a human.
- He has the same character model as the Mayor in Metro Speedway (found in a hidden area behind a waterfall) who challenges Spyro to help Hunter catch cat burglars.
- In the epilogue for Spyro 2, Basil has compiled a catalog "Basil the Explorer's "Faunus Mortas" Extinct Creatures of Avalar", showcasing different designs of creatures not found in the game.
