Template:Characterbox Basil the Explorer is a human character found in Mystic Marsh in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. He'll give you an orb once you have collected four spark plugs for his jeep, which were stolen by Kangaroo Thieves.
In the original epilogue for Spyro 2, Basil compiled a catalog "Basil the Explorer's "Faunus Mortas" Extinct Creatures of Avalar", showcasing different designs of creatures not found in the game.
