The Fireflies are the flying insects with a sun shape thorax who gives the dragons on Dragon Realm the fire breathing ability. If they are not on the realm the fire breathing will disappear and replace it with ice breathing seen on Spyro: Season of Flame.
They are also the inhabitants of Spooky Swamp in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
