Shadow Amplifier machines were created by the Sorcerer. Their purpose is to absorb magic and trap people in the Shadow Realm. One Amplifier was in the Dragon Realms, guarded by the Ice Minion, while the other was in Avalar, guarded by the Fire Minion. Both Shadow Minions were defeated by Spyro, who proceded to battle the Sorcerer inside a third, more powerful Shadow Amplifier that could trap things in the Shadow realm forever.
