Dragon Realms

The Dragon Realms, also known as the Dragon Worlds, are a group of worlds that are home to Spyro and the other dragons. It is the main setting in a few of the Spyro games.

History[edit]

Spyro the Dragon[edit]

The entirety of Spyro the Dragon takes place in the Dragon Realms. It has six Home Worlds, which are accessed in order of Artisans, Peace Keepers, Magic Crafters, Beast Makers, Dream Weavers, and lastly Gnasty's World. With help from the balloonists, Spyro is able to travel between the Home Worlds.

  • Artisans - a grassland filled with hills as well as medieval architecture of castles, bridges, and towers.
  • Peace Keepers - a desert land inhabited by dragons whose job is to enforce order and maintain peace between the realms.
  • Magic Crafters - a mountaintop land inhabited by shy dragons who are experts in magic.
  • Beast Makers - a swampland inhabited by tough dragons who create the many inhabitants of the Dragon Realms.
  • Dream Weavers - a city in the sky that inhabited by dragons who manage the dreams of other dragons and help those who have had nightmares.
  • Gnasty's World - a desolate realm under Gnasty's control, from which he launched his assault on the Dragon Realms.

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage![edit]

In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, Dragon Realms has only one place, Dragon Shores.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon[edit]

In Spyro: Year of the Dragon, it is revealed that the dragons lived in the Forgotten Realm long ago, but were eventually banished by Sorceress. This led to the dragons find a new home at the Dragon Realms, which is found on the ground level above the Forgotten Realms.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly[edit]

In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, an area of Dragon Realms serves as the single hub throughout the entire game. It is larger than the hub levels in previous games. Unlike the first game, Spyro uses unique transportation methods, rather than portals, to access the other areas. He can gain access to the hub's outer sections after unlocking various gates scattered throughout.

Spyro 2: Season of Flame[edit]

In Spyro 2: Season of Flame, the Dragon Realms has these places:
