Template:Q Spirit Gems are the gem glusters in The Legend of Spyro series that give out red, green, blue and purple gems. They are the only gems in the entire Legend series that give out every type of gem at once.
Ignitus stated in A New Beginning that the Spirit Gems were a gift from the ancestors. The dragon race is known to draw strength from these Gems. However, Malefor taught the Apes to harness the power of the Spirit Gems for their evil purposes.
Spyro also stated that when he hit a Spirit Gem cluster, he felt the power of a thousand suns pass through his body.
