They are situated atop high cliffs, ledges, or on ships and fire their own suicidal underlings at Spyro when he draws close. Spyro can avoid this threat by dodge-rolling from the flying Apes as he swoops by the cannons, or he can return fire via his fireballs to finish the cannons off himself.
