Then there are the Dark Mountains Dreadwing that bombard the Skavengers' ship in The Eternal Night. There is one that is ridden by the [[Assassin]]. It is the only one of its kind to play a notable character.


They are somewhat similar to the mammavian beasts, skurvywings, which are shown in [[The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night|The Eternal Night]].

Dread Wings attack by swiping, biting, and by screaming, sending loud waves toward Spyro that cause him to roll backwards. The also shoot dark fireballs in TEN.
