Bulb Spiders are enemies in the Swamp and the Dragon Temple in A New Beginning. They first appear as large mushrooms on the ground surrounded by leaf-life legs, moving slightly. But when Spyro approach, they emerge from the ground and attack. This is likely how they ambush their prey. Bulb Spider attack by spinning across the floor at Spyro. Like the Apes, each one of them have individual names.
An aggressive, nocturnal relative of the Bulb Spider is seen and fought only on the grounds of the Dragon Temple in The Eternal Night.
