The Elemental Spirits are the guardians of The Chronicler and obstacles that appear at the end of each elemental trial Spyro went through on the White Isle in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. In the GBA version, they have distinct appearances, and are instead fought at the end of each Elemental Dream.

Trivia
- The Spirits of the Elements all share the same animations as the Executioner, the Electric King and the Ice King.
- In the GBA version, they're all very distinct in appearance - the Fire Spirit is a legless humanoid made of magma, the Earth Spirit is an enormous mossy golem, the Ice Spirit is a series of ice formations resembling armor, and the Electricity Spirit is a glowing crystal that can shock upon contact.
- The Elemental Avatars share the Elemental Spirits role as bosses in training and challenging Spyro.
- The elemental chambers where the Spirits are housed in were originally for the Elemental Dragon.[1]
