Template:PlaceLegend Malefor's Lair is the tower that lies beyond The Floating Islands as the central building of Malefor's fortress, in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. It is located high on a platform beyond the Islands that are leviated by the powerful updraft emitting from a volcano below. Spyro and Cynder go there together to confront Malefor for the final battle to save the Dragon Realms.

Story

While explaining to Spyro and Cynder, Hunter stated that the Dragon Temple was in fact Malefor's Lair. After being resurrected, Malefor attacked the temple and reclaimed it, suspending it above the land as a symbol of his dominance. It was later destroyed when the Destroyer finished completing its journey right as Spyro and Cynder were battling Malefor, splitting the world apart and also breaking apart the Dragon Temple slowly into pieces.
