Undead is an element introduced in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. The characters who are associated with this element are mostly skeletal figures or ghouls who often use the power of the undead and darkness to aid them in battle. They have an advantage against Life-based characters. The colors for this element are black and white.
When opening an Undead Gate, the Undead Skylander calls on living bones to form a bridge. Undead-based Skylanders stand on a pedestal that resembles a white skull when they're in their toy form. The white skull on the pedestal glows in the dark.
Malefor is the Dragon King of the Undead and was the one who corrupted Cynder into doing his evil bidding.

Trivia
- Although the game manual states that Undead skylanders are strong against Life, it does not appear to be so in the console game.
