Hero Grublin
From the Spyro Wiki, the Spyro and Skylanders encyclopedia
A Hero Grublin is mostly the leader of a group of lesser Grublins that wield shields (their rank is that of the Ape Leaders from Spyro's previous adventures) in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon and part of Malefor's army. They sometimes launch dark energy at Spyro and Cynder if they are too close, and their shield must be destroyed in order to attack them directly.
