Animals

In The Legend of Spyro series, there are many animals, wild and domesticated. There does seem to be some sort of evolution of animals, as mentioned in The Eternal Night, that some of the creatures in the Ancient Grove have adapted to the poison flowing through the grove they are nurtured by.

Domesticated Animals

Most of the domesticated animals, except one species, the death hound are riden by Spyro's enemies, both the Apes and the Skavengers. They also serve as opponents for Spyro.

Wild animals have been seen in the Ancient Grove and the Swamp, as well as other locations in the Legend of Spyro series. The majority of them serve as enemies, while one species of animal are friendly.

Minor Wild Animals

there are many minor wild animals in the legend of spyro series. most of these probably serve to add effect to the game, making the game scenery and enviroment more realistic and interesting.
