Animals

In The Legend of Spyro series, there are many animals, wild and domesticated. There does seem to be some sort of evolution of animals, as mentioned in The Eternal Night, that some of the creatures in the Ancient Grove have adapted to the poison flowing through the grove they are nurtured by.

Domesticated Animals

Most of the domesticated animals, except for subspecies of Death Hounds, are ridden by Spyro's enemies, both the Apes and the Skavengers. They also serve as opponents for Spyro.
