Template:Characterbox Sheep are the one of the most popular and famous of the fodder animals as they have appeared throughout the Spyro series, and is also the subject of the TV advert for the first Spyro game.

The sheep are also enemies in the form of sheep saucer.

Skylanders

Template:Q In the spin-off game, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, the sheep make a surprising reappearance in the game. They are some of the local animals of Skylands, and some of the population reside in Perilous Pastures, also appearing in cutscenes of the game.

According from a Story Scroll, a note from Hugo says that the sheep are among 'the most feared creatures in Skylands' and that many Mabu find their belongings missing after falling asleep counting sheep. The sheep never admit to have taken anything when they are questioned of course.

In Skylanders, sheep cannot be killed but they can be hit around and different Skylander's attacks have different affects on them. For example, Spyro's flame attacks burns their wool away leaving them black for a few seconds until the wool grows back on them. Zap's electric attacks causing the sheep's wool to be puffed up, causing the sheep to roll around aimlessly. Despite harmlessly grazing the area in the Ruins, the sheep are an obstacle in a task where you have to gather apples from the apples bushes for Arbo that are needed to know where the Eternal Life Source resides. The sheep will try and eat the apples, and the Skylanders have to gather the apples before the sheep eats them.

In the 3DS version of Skylanders, in Daystar Temple, whenever you break the sacred Sheep statues, your Skylander will temporarily turn into a Sheep. After a while they change back.
