Arkeyan

The Arkeyans will make their notable debut in Skylanders: Giants. It is mentioned that there is an Arkeyan King.
History
Many eons ago, the Arkeyans had protected Skylands from The Darkness, but also used their knowledge of magic and technology to build terrible weapons of war to rule Skylands with an iron fist. But like all civilizations, it eventually came to an end and the Arkeyans mysteriously vanished. According to a Story Scroll, long ago, the evil Arkeyan sorcerers who lived within dark cities underground met their demise. The free magicians of Skylands combined their strength to bind the Royal City of Arkus in a vault of eternal rest. All that remains of their empire are their machines, toiling away in the darkness for all eternity.
The Arkeyans uncovered the secrets of the Eternal Magic Source and guarded it to prevent future generations from discovering their secrets.
Story
Skylanders: The Machine of Doom
Template:SpoilerStart The Arkeyans had built a large machine that was capable of destroying the Core of Light, called the Machine of Doom. However, it was built as a trap used to capture those who were tempted to steal the weapon, knowing that anyone who was brave enough to get through the Forest of Fear and their worst nightmares, stole the Chattering Key from the stone wyvern, and tempted enough to climb into the Machine of Doom was too dangerous to walk free.
Kaos had sought after the Machine of Doom to trick the Skylanders into trying to reach it before he does, therefore springing the trap in order to bury the heroes alive. His plan failed, as the Skylanders were able to control the Machine, and they and Kaos were able to escape the Arkeyan trap. Template:SpoilerEnd
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure
The history of the Arkeyans are explored in the Quicksilver Vault and Arkeyan Armory. One Arkeyan, the Weapon Master, helped the Skylanders retrieve the Quicksilver and the Eternal Magic Source that were needed to restore the Core of Light.
Skylanders: Giants
The Arkeyan were an evil race of technological beings who ruled over Skylands with an iron fist.The source of all of their power was, in fact, an enchanted iron fist called the 'Iron Fist of Arkus'. The Giants banded together to free Skylands from the evil Arkeyan's reign. The final battle between the Giants and the Arkeyans was what led to the Giants being banished to Earth, where they were buried for centuries.
Years later, Kaos, after his defeat by the new Portal Master, managed to reactivate one of the old Arkeyan war machines, and aimed to use the Arkeyan's enchanted iron fist to resurrect the ancient army. The Giants became unearthed, and must return to Skylands to deal with this ancient threat once again.

Some Arkeyans were left behind by their civilization as defenses for their abandoned Armory and Vault, but they are enemies to the Skylanders who seek out the final Magic components to the Core of Light. Other Arkeyans were summoned as guards for some inhabitants of Skylands.
