The entirety of ''[[Spyro the Dragon]]'' takes place in the Dragon Realms. It has six homeworlds, which are accessed in order of [[Artisans]], [[Peace Keepers]], [[Magic Crafters]], [[Beast Makers]], [[Dream Weavers]], and lastly [[Gnasty's World]]. With help from the [[balloonist]]s, Spyro is able to travel between the homeworlds.

In ''[[Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly]]'', an area of Dragon Realms serves as the single hub throughout the entire game. It is larger than the hub levels in previous games. Unlike the first game, Spyro uses unique transportation methods, rather than portals, to access the other areas. He can gain access to the hub's outer sections after unlocking various gates scattered throughout.
