Sentry Gnorcs, also named Gnorc Sentries,[1] are large Gnorcs that only appear in the level Dark Hollow in Spyro the Dragon. They are a variant of Big Gnorcs that are armored with a metallic helmet and a metallic breastplate. Only two of them appear in Dark Hollow. Sentry Gnorcs have their own variant named Gnorc Balloonists, which travel around by using a balloon.
Sentry Gnorcs can be found walking back and forth in narrow hallways. Because of their large size, Sentry Gnorc block the entire path. Sentry Gnorcs do not harm Spyro, although if he walks into one's belly, it bounces him backward. Sentry Gnorcs are unarmored from behind, so Spyro can only defeat a Sentry Gnorc by using a flame attack on their back. When defeated, a Sentry Gnorc drops a blue Gem.
