Gem Thieves[1] are a type of Gnorc found exclusively in the Artisans Home World in Spyro the Dragon. They have green skin and a red mohawk, and in the original game, Gem Thieves wear a bandit's mask.

Unlike other Gnorcs, Gem Thieves do not harm Spyro, but instead run if he approaches them. Spyro can attack a Gem Thief by either charging or flaming it. It takes three hits to defeat a Gem Thief; the first two times a Gem Thief is hit, it drops a red Gem, but when defeated, it drops three red Gems, meaning that they drop a total of five red Gems. If Spyro defeats a Gem Thief more than once, it drops small orbs instead of small gems.
