The Fireflies are the flying insects with a sun shape thorax who gives the dragons in the Dragon Realms the fire breathing ability. If they are not in the realms, the fire breathing will disappear and replace it with ice breathing seen in Spyro: Season of Flame.
They are also the inhabitants of Spooky Swamp in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
