Gnasty Gnroc was originaly an inhabitant in The Dragon Realms but as he got older he found it hard to live with the dragons rules and customs. Because of this, he became chotic and unruley. So the dragon's banished Gnasty to a waistland world where they alowed him to do whatever he wants. However, Gnasty Gnorc felt that his power was nothing without creatures or minions to boss around so he created creatures like him called [[Gnorcs]] out of various doo-dads. After a while he found out that turning CRYSTALS into gnorcs was alot easier than various doo-dads so he started "borrowing" the dragon's treasure, the dragons were annoyed but they beleived that they should let it go for the time being.

One day, the dragons are doing a documentary video for the DNN (dragon News Network), Lindar, when asked about Gnasty Gnorc, makes a few disrespectable comments (including calling him ugly) about Gnasty Gnorc who is minding his own buisness. Gnasty Gnorc who is obviously very sensative and defensive gets furious and turns every dragon (excluding spyro who is too small to realise[Or use the spell on]) into [[crystal]] and transforms most of the rest of the treasury into gnorcs and scatatters the rest all over the dragon realms. He also hires [[theives]] to steal some [[dragon eggs]] just for a little more revenge.
One day, during the creation of a documentary video for the DNN (Dragon News Network), Lindar, when asked about Gnasty Gnorc, calls Gnasty Gnorc ugly, among other derogatory remarks. Gnasty Gnorc, who is sensitive about his appearance,  becomes enraged and turns every Dragon (Except for [[Spyro]], who is too small) into crystal and transforms the rest of their treasury into Gnorcs and scatters the rest all over the dragon realms. He also hires [[thief|thieves]] to steal the remaining twelve dragon [[eggs]], in order to fully exterminate the Dragons.


Eventually, Spyro finds all the treasure, Toasts the theives and takes the eggs, releases all the dragons and defeats Gnasty Himself.
With Spyro being the sole remaining Dragon, he must free all the Dragons, rescue the gems, and defeat Gnasty Gnorc.

In Gnasty's Boss battle, [[Spyro]] Must catch theives which hold keys to progress, Gnasty will attack Spyro with A green beam, similar to the magic beam which turned the other dragons into crystal. Once Spyro gets the key to confront Gnasty, Gnasty runs way, Spyro must chase Spyro and eventually catch and flame. After this, a door will open to lava room where spyro must glide from platform-to-platform (which are gradually going into the wall) until he gets to a dead end where he can flame Gnasty and finish him off.

*Gnasty Suddenly dissapears once Spyro flames him, however, he later returns in the final epilogue in [[Spyro: Year of the Dragon]] and in [[Spyro: A Hero's Tail]].
*A Gnorc is a cross between an orc and a gnome, however they are much larger, they have green skin and they are "much worse".
*Gnasty Is A lot different in  [[Spyro: A Hero's Tail]], one thing is that his voice has changed dramatically, another thing is that his armour and general look is very different.
