Red is an antagonist of the Spyro franchise. He is a red dragon who is the main antagonist of Spyro: A Hero's Tail and Spyro: Shadow Legacy.
Story[edit]
Formerly a Dragon Elder, Red has a goal of taking over the world and plunging it in darkness to seek revenge for his banishment from the Dragon Kingdom long ago. Red enlists the help of Gnasty Gnorc, the Gnorcs and Ineptune to help him reach his goal.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail[edit]
At the Volcanic Isle, when the Professor tries to infiltrate Red's lair, the Professor is captured by Red and forced to use his scientific knowledge to create a device capable of transforming the Gnorc soldiers into robots for Red's cause. When Spyro arrives at Red's lair in Red's Laboratory, Spyro charges at Red, knocking him back into the Professor's machine and subjecting him to the roboticization process. The now-robotic, and initially slightly confused, Red is then accidentally boosted in size and power by the Professor, leading into the final boss battle. When Red's robotic form is defeated, the process is completely reversed, and Red is reduced to a more "manageable" size.
Spyro: Shadow Legacy[edit]
Red was cast under a spell after escaping from the Professor's lab by the Sorcerer who forced Red to help him. Later on in the underground cave of Blink's home, he was unimprisoned from the Sorcerer's spell thanks to Spyro. After all his time inside the lab he began to realize his actions and thus decided to help Spyro and redeem himself as an Elder Dragon.
