The Mammoth is a possible resident in the Icy Wilderness who only appeared in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. He was employed by Red to capture Spyro and succeeded. In spite of the Mammoth successfully capturing Spyro, Sparx managed to escape and warn Hunter, who then ventured into Gloomy Glacier to free Spyro inside the Ice Citadel.
The Mammoth was only encountered once and did not make an appearance as a boss nor appeared anywhere else in the game afterwards.

Trivia
- The Mammoth's capture of Spyro is similar to the Beast Quest book, Tusk the Mighty Mammoth, where the titular creature captures a fire-breathing dragon.
