During the flight, Spyro has the ability to shoot fireballs, move, speed up, slow down and avoid being hit by obstacles such as Ape Soldiers, Dreadwings and cannon ships. The terrain changes from a string of islands to an icy area that just might be inaccessible places in Dante's Freezer, the next level in the game. A giant Turtle-like creature also swims along the path Spyro takes.
