Kaos

Template:Characterbox (Skylanders) Template:Q Kaos is an evil Portal Master and the main antagonist in the console and PC version of the spin-off Spyro game, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. He aims to take over Skylands using his evil powers and is responsible for banishing all the Skylanders, including Spyro, from their world to Earth in the form of toys after destroying the Core of Light that protected Skylands from the darkness.

Personality

Kaos is an overconfident villain, and tries to sound as threatening as possible to those who oppose him. Like most villains, Kaos is digusted at the sight of romantic atmospheres, as evident when Cali and Flynn were having a soft moment with one another when they both finally found something they agree on.

Abilities

Being a Portal Master, Kaos has the ability to summon darker visions of the Skylanders. He also has the ability to summon powerful spells of four of the elemental classes: Water, Life, Fire, and Undead.

Kaos is also notable for being able to cast a large projection of his head to talk to the Skylanders from his castle on a Portal and speak with a threatening voice to possibly hide his real, screechy voice.

Biography

It was said that Kaos was born a prince. However, after years of suffering insults about his ugly looks and bad smells, Kaos kicked his father in the widdershins, gave away his royal name, and headed out into the wilderness along with his equally-ugly butler, Glumshanks. Sometime afterwards, Kaos attempted to take over Skylands by destroying the Core of Light with the help of the Darkness, but was thawrted and banished to the Outlands.

In the events of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, Kaos returned to Skylands after his exile to exact his revenge, and he succeeded in destroying the Core of Light by using his Hydra, banishing the Skylanders to Earth in the process, and proceeded to shroud the world of Skylands using the Darkness. He soon becomes aware of the new Portal Master and attempted to stop them and the Skylanders from restoring the Core of Light, but failed. After the Core of Light was restored, Kaos fled back to the Outlands, vowing that it wasn't over.

The new Portal Master and the Skylanders soon confronted Kaos in his lair, battling against him, his Minions, and his Hydra, and successfully defeated them. Kaos was then imprisoned temporarily at the Ruins, where he vowed to return again and again if he was going to be banished to the Outlands again. However, to his surprise, Kaos was banished to Earth where he was turned into a toy and is soon tormented by a dog.

• Kaos is pronounced identically to the word 'chaos'.
• He is the second human in the Spyro series to be a main antagonist, the other being Neo Cortex from Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy.
• In the 3DS version, Kaos' role as the main antagonist is acquired by Hektore.
• Kaos bears a resemblance to Gollum from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
• Kaos almost talks exactly like Invader Zim and Daggett, cartoon characters whom Richard Horvitz also voiced during his years of voicework.
• It is believed that Kaos owes Terrafin five dollars.
• In numerous Kaos cutscenes, there are two stone columns behind Kaos that look like the Eye of Sauron.
