Hidden Orb Challenge

The Mayor's re-election funds were stolen by Cat Burglars, and he asked Spyro and Hunter to help get them back in exchange for an orb. In order to complete the challenge, the player has to collect all the bags of gems shot from the Cat Burglars by Hunter. If a bag falls into the water, the player loses the challenge and will have to start over.

Trivia

  • An early name for this level, found in the code of of the demo, was "City Speedway".
  • The background appears to be a darker, re-colored version of Ocean Speedway.
  • This is one of two speedways in the game that has the player talk to someone other than Hunter for the orb challenge. The other is Ocean Speedway.
    • Despite this, he is still involved in both challenges.
  • Like most challenges involving Hunter, his appearance changes here. This time, he wears a greenish-yellow army helmet and flies around with a jetpack and armed with a ray gun. His outfit is later re-used in Country Speedway's hidden challenge.
  • The Mayor refers to Hunter as "The Hunter".
    • This was changed in the Reignited Trilogy where he just calls him Hunter.
  • It is one of the few levels in the Japanese version to have the same name as the English version.
