Metal Chests[1][2] are objects in Spyro the Dragon. They appear in most canon Spyro games.
The metal composition of a Metal Chest leaves it unaffected by Spyro's flame attack. However, he can destroy Metal Chests by charging them. Metal Chests are very similar to Metal Vases besides their difference in appearance.
