It is a black griffon wearing silver bracers on its limbs and wears a silver helment. Its gender, biography and powers are currently unknown as of now.

Trivia
- Sonic Boom's silver bracelets look similar to the silver bracelets Cynder wore when she was under Malefor's control and in Dawn of the Dragon. Though Sonic Boom wears its silver bracelets on all of its ankles instead of only its front legs, tail, and neck like Cynder does.
- Some fans even think of Sonic Boom as the griffon version of Cynder due to the silver bracelets they both wear and the fact that they also wield an element that is associated with the sky (Air and Wind).
