Template:CharacterboxFire Beetles are enemies native to Munitions Forge in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. They are small flying insects that are durable to heat, hence are not too fazed with Spyro's Fire Breath. They are usually spawned from hives, but can be a nuisance if surrounded by them. These bugs are easily dispatched with Ice breath.
In the DS version of A New Beginning, Fire Beetles are too small to fight, and must be dispatched quickly by use of the stylus or else they will deal large damage to Spyro.
Grove Mites are distant relatives of the Fire Beetles.
