Scorch (boss)
Scorch is a boss found in Scorch's Pit, a boss realm in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, on your way to Midnight Mountain. It is a transformed Rhynoc, who was created by the Sorceress in order to execute all monsters.
Story
Year of the Dragon
When the Sorceress has had it with Spyro's bravery and selfless meddling, she desides to create "a monster to end all monsters". Bianca was horrified to relise that the only reason why the Dragon Eggs eggs were brought to the Forgotten Realms was so that the Sorceress could kill the baby dragons to get their wings for a spell to become immortal. Furious, Bianca abandoned her and headed off to save a captured Hunter from ending up like Sheila and that.
The Sorceress then decided to turn one of her Rhynocs into the murderous monster. Two Rhynocs were nearby, keeping an eye out on the captured Agent 9, and one of them pushed the other towards their master. The poor Rhynoc was turned into the monster by the Sorceress, and she named it Scorch, who was sent to a pit to execute Spyro and Bentley. However, both were able to defeat this beast and avoid execution.
