Treasure chest

Treasure chests are objects that contain gems in the first game, Spyro the Dragon. Spyro can break a treasure chest by either charging into it or flaming it. In their debut appearance, treasure chests are colored red and yellow. Many subsequent games replaced treasure chests with Gem Baskets.
In Spyro: Season of Ice, there are gray treasure chests. Unlike in Spyro the Dragon, Spyro needs a key to break open the treasure chest and collect the gems contained within.
