Oh Holy Land

Oh Holy land
Come Ancient Spirit
Come ancient spirit
Take up my hand
and guide me

Pull me to shore
Rivers are rising
Look in this heart
and find me

I've lost my way
Your voice is silent
I need you here
to remind me

Show me now
How to find my home
All I am
surrender

Let the water flow right through this broken soul

Fought by your side
Ashes still burning
I proved my worth
so tell me why

I've lost my way
Your voice is silent
I need you here
to remind me

Show me now
How to find my home
All I am
surrender

Tell me that you can forgive
Bring me peace
That I may live

* The "Holy Land" and "Ancient Spirit" mentioned in the lyrics may be referring to the series' equivalent of Heaven and God respectively.
Find me at my home
* A letimotif of the song plays during the cutscene at the end of [[Celestial Caves]], before being quickly replaced by the level's theme again. Oddly, it plays in a part completed unrelated to the dragon elders, Ignitus included, who would be mentioned sometime later in the scene.

This Broken Soul is a song that plays during the game credits of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. It was composed by Rebecca Kneubuhl and Gabriel Mann, and sung by Rebecca Kneubuhl herself.

Meaning

The song is meant to represent Spyro's relationship with Ignitus, and how he would feel after having crossed over into Dark Spyro.[1] An instrumental version of this song is played in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, while Ignitus escorts Spyro and Cynder through the Belt of Fire and into the Burned Lands.

Lyrics

Oh Holy Land

Come Ancient Spirit

Take up my hand
And guide me

Pull me to shore
Rivers are rising
Look in this heart
And find me

I’ve lost my way
Your voice is silent
I need you here
To remind me

Show me now
How to find my home
All I am
Surrender

Let the water flow right through this broken soul

Fought by your side
Ashes still burning
I proved my worth
So tell me why

I’ve lost my way
Your voice is silent
I need you here
To remind me

Show me now
How to find my home
All I am
Surrender

Tell me that you can forgive
(Won’t you tell me)
Bring me peace that I may live
(Ohhhhhh)

Show me now
How to find my home
All I am
Surrender

(Oh sweet rest)
Oh sweet rest
Find me at my home
Stay with me
Forever

Let the water flow right through this broken soul
